As an author of 13 textbooks including 4 economics textbooks I note with interest the comments about the economy at General election time.
As an owner and founder of a Nairobi college in Kenya which is academically but not financially successful I know a little about third world poverty.
I see no reason why we could not produce educational courses for both people in the U.K. and Kenya if we used the talents of the many Sittingbourne readers who have expertise either academic, writing, or possibly in administration or in doing graphic design. This could be done via Skype or emails etc which is cheap to do.
I note that many people are having problems with getting into university because of cutbacks. Am I the only person who would be only too happy to have an equivalent of an intern or interns i.e. I would happily get someone through a degree or professional exams in exchange for help with those things such as I am not good at such as using computers for graphs etc
I would be very interested to hear from any other readers who are interested in the third world.
